As of early 2026, Spotify has killed their API.

Mid-2025, they began to limit extended Web API access, requiring a quarter million monthly active users. Without a quota extension, you are limited to 25 total users. I agree, it sounds like a catch-22. As of January 2026, you can no longer make new apps.
